Etebo Makes N3 Billion Stoke City Move

Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has joined EFL Championship club, Stoke City for a bumper fee of about N3billion.

Etebo who is currently in Russia to represent Nigeria for the ongoing 2018 World Cup took a break from his World Cup preparations to complete the 6. 35million pounds deal with Stoke City on Monday June 11th, 2018.

The young star has now agreed on a five-year contract with Stoke City who were recently relegated from the Premier League and are hoping to bounce back to the coveted league by gaining promotion from the Championship come next season under a new manager, Gary Rowett.

Speaking after the completion of the deal, Gary Rowett enthused… “We’re really excited to have got the deal over the line for Etebo. I’m looking forward to seeing him in a Stoke City shirt as I’m sure our supporters are too.”

The 22-year-old midfielder is leaving Portuguese side Feirense in a £6.35 million after spending the second half of last season on loan with Las Palmas in Spain to now join second-tier Stoke City.
