Episode 4 Of Professor Johnbull Focuses On Black Marketers Of Fuel

Glo Prof. JohnbullEpisode 4 of Professor Johnbull, the increasingly popular TV drama series sponsored by grandmasters of data, Globacom, will beam its searchlight on the blatant pranks played by illegal fuel attendants during the country’s recurrent fuel crises.

The programme which was aired at 8.30p.m. on Monday evening on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV and NTA on StarTimes highlighted the no-love-lost business relationship between the public and the black market fuel attendants. Although the public generally detest the attendants as Shylocks and economic saboteurs, they end up patronizing them as last resort during acute fuel scarcity.

In the episode called Foreign Petrol, Professor Johnbull, a didactic drama which has now become viewers’ delight, exposes the greed of a few individuals who take advantage of the harsh economic situation in the country to enrich themselves to the detriment of the generality of the people.

Flash (Stephen Odimgba), who tries to make quick cash by becoming an emergency “black marketer” is reprimanded by Churchill who, like his father, Professor Johnbull, is a moralist.  Viewers will find out the following: who squealed on Flash? What role did Churchill play in all these? What is the meaning of “car pooling” that Professor Johnbull is recommending for people and why?

Viewers will also be treated to an amusing development in the drama where Professor Johnbull’s predilection for high sounding grammar is rubbing off on some of the other characters.

Globacom, in a statement issued in Lagos on Monday, said that viewers “will see Professor Johnbull, acted by Kanayo O. Kanayo, in his best element as he elucidates on the dangers of ‘Black Marketing’ and proffers practical solutions.”  The statement added: “the 4th episode of Professor Johnbull tagged Foreign Petrol is as entertaining as it is educative.”

The repeat broadcast of the episode will be shown on Friday at 8.30p.m. on NTA Network pan Nigeria, NTA International on DSTV and NTA on StarTimes.
