Daniel Amokachi Trains Students at Copa Coca-Cola, Abuja

With the love of football in their hearts, the mantra, “Everything for Football” on their lips and a cold bottle of Coke in every hand, Coca-Cola Nigeria heightened the excitement of students from 16 different Junior Secondary Schools across Abuja with the presence of ex-football star, Daniel Amokachi, fondly called “The Bull” when he visited the Copa Coca-Cola training clinic in the FCT, to train the Under-15 footballers from various schools, ahead of the Abuja Copa Coca-Cola tournament.

“At Coca-Cola, we have come to realize that, the best way to build the Nigerian teens is to encourage them, their skills and aspirations. For us, Copa Coca-Cola is a great platform for this, as it gives hope to these teens, builds their confidence in themselves and their abilities, while fanning the flames of their desire to succeed,” Marketing Director, Coca-Cola Nigeria, Patricia Jemibewon said while speaking on behalf of the brand.

Praising the Copa Coca-Cola vision, the National President of the Nigerian Schools Sports Federation (NSSF), Mallam Ibrahim Muhammed gave the beverage giant, Coca-Cola a pat on the back for its laudable initiatives at the Coaching Clinic segment of the program, and its inclusion of the respected “Bull” and former Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles, Daniel Amokachi, to train the teenagers.

The Abuja Copa Coca-Cola Coaching Clinic would be followed by the Copa Tournament for Under -15 in Abuja .The competition has commenced in selected secondary schools in other part of the country. The million naira question now is, “Which of the represented schools in Abuja will be crowned champions of the tournament? Only time will tell!
