Prophet Joshua Iginla of Champion Royal Assembly has issued a warning to former Anambra State governor and presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, ahead of the 2027 general election.

He said: “This is my political opinion: if we truly want the opposition party to present a strong challenge, Peter Obi should be the presidential candidate, with any Northerner as his running mate. That would create a real contest.

“Peter Obi, if you accept a vice-presidential position under anyone, you risk losing your political relevance. It is better to step aside entirely than to play second fiddle. The situation is straightforward—you need patience if you truly want to lead.”

Iginla gave the warning on Sunday during a live church service.
