The claim by Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, that President Buhari is using the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to witch-hunt prominent members of the opposition and using the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory to demolish a section of African Independent Television (AIT), building in Abuja which belongs to Chief Raymond Dokpesi, a known chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been debunked by the president’s Social Media Aide, Lauretta Onochie.  

Lauretta Onochie, in a tweet said; “The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has claimed that Pres. @MBuhari was using security agencies, especially EFCC, to witch-hunt members of the opposition. Me: This is nothing short of blackmail. @officialEFCC must BRAVELY and COURAGEOUSLY Arrest all looters.”
