Buhari Has Nothing To Offer – Apostle Charles Jacobs

Apostle Charles Jacob2With the continual impasse in the country’s political space, charging the entire nation for uncertainty, it is only necessary to seek the mind of God for this nation, especially as it was early predicted by the America that Nigeria will seize to be by 2015.  As such, many men of God have given contradictory prophesies since the beginning of the year, lending his voice to the issues on the nation’s front burner, Apostle Charles Jacob, the Founder of Believer’s Family Assembly in a recent chat with ORUKPE NELSON, he bare his mind concerning the future of Nigeria, the forthcoming general election and why Buhari will never win presidential election in Nigeria, amongst other sundry issues.

Lately, the nation has been bedeviled with lots of challenges, ranging from Boko Haram insurgency, the recent shift in general election date hitting up the polity, perceived massive loots and corruption, etc.  As a Prophet, has God revealed anything to you with regards to the aforementioned?

God have not told me anything recently about any of these challenges but as a Prophet of God, what I know is that I perceive unprecedented peace in Nigeria at the end of the tunnel, for the insurgents that have threatened our general election; the federal troop is out for them now and there is no hiding place for them any longer.  Besides that, there is no problem I foresee.  Whoever wants to foment trouble will be removed by God because God is bigger than Nigeria.

Are you of the opinion that God is in favour of President Goodluck Jonathan?

I will answer affirmatively without any reasons to doubt my believe, his name is bringing good luck to him and Nigerians.  Remember, as a child he was not there when his parents christened him Goodluck, so that good luck means God; “God is good” and anything that concerns God is good, therefore when someone’s name is Goodluck, God has to favour him, that’s what is happening in President Goodluck’s life.  The presence of God will never allow problems to consume this country.

You said he’s bringing good luck to Nigeria, can you expatiate on that?

Cast your mind back to about 10 years, you will agree with me that the Lagos – Ore – Benin expressway was almost relegated to death trap and impassable.  Most Nigerians from Onitsha to Lagos spend about 2 days on the road but the administration of Jonathan has brought good fortune to that road.  For the first time in so many years, I traveled recently along that road and behold I was in Onitsha under five hours.  In the area of road rehabilitation and reconstruction, he has done very well.  Not just the road, but if you take a trip round the federation, all the federal roads have received adequate attention; or are you going to talk about the drainages, fight against erosion, the second Niger bridge, etc.

Again, he has done well in the area of power generation, electricity has significantly improved just that most of these achievements are being under reported.  Remember that Rome was not built in a day.  Look at the tremendous turnaround in the agricultural sector, the transport sector, youth empowerment and job creation, etc.

So I can tell you for free that all we need is patient, our country is getting better.  Nigeria cannot be rebuilt in a space of four years because things has deteriorated over the years so in rebuilding, it will take gradual process and patience to repair and rebuild the nation.  Goodluck is working, if we want to put sentiment and politics aside.  The God that took him from obscurity to that height will preserve him.

Still talking about Mr. President, there is insinuation that he is shielding corruption.  Do you share this line of thought?

I’m not a politician, I don’t know if there are corrupt people in his government or not, at least until a competent court of proven jurisdiction proves so.  But what I know is that there is one thing that triggers God to approve somebody and that thing is personal disposition and heart towards others that negates the level of favour around the person in question.

The favour in his life is affecting our nation for good and things will continue to improve from one point of achievement to the other.

Let’s consider the level of insecurity in the nation sir, with special inference to Boko Haram menace cum the adoption of the Chibok Girls for some months now.  Do you think Mr. President has put in his best in security of the nation?

The problem of Boko Haram started way before Goodluck assumed office as the president, but if you cast your mind back to what we used to have, you’ll bear with me that besides the Boko Haram, there is less killings, political assassination now than we used to have. We are only faced with just one challenge now, during the time of IBB, Abacha and Obasanjo, there were series of assassinations, and ethnic fighting. We had the Arewas, the Bakkassis, the OPC, the Niger Delta Militants all fomenting one form of disturbance or the other against the government to vent their anger, but here one have just the Boko Haram, so let’s believe him that in a short time from now it will be relegated to history.

Do you think the March 28 General Election date will stand?

I don’t know about that. March 28 or not, all I know is that General Election will hold.

The opposition party; APC are agitating for change, do you foresee Nigeria better under Buhari?

Capital NO! Buhari has nothing to offer this nation again, let’s give Goodluck the chance to consolidate on his present achievements; that’s what we honestly need now as a nation.

Just a few weeks back, our former president, Chief Obasanjo publicly destroyed his PDP membership card, bearing in mind that he’s been an ardent critic of Mr. President for about 2 years running now.  What does that singular action portend to us as a people?

The same Obasanjo once told us that politics is a do or die affair. To politicians, change is their food, they can change political parties like a man changing cloths. Whether he keep it or tore it, he can change to APC and back to PDP at will. In my very eye I saw his Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar change parties for about four times now if I’m not mistaking.

Do you have any revelation about the future of this country, most people are already relocating back to their home town or at least closer home in anticipation of impending war or crises?

What God told me is that there will be peace in this country. There will be no problems.  To corroborate your question, when I travelled home recently; I met one of my sisters in the village they relocated from there back to the village and I told her that was error of judgment that should anything sinister want to happen, it will happen even in this village. If the devil is after you, no matter where you take refuge, you’ll still be located for destruction. What I promise every Nigerians today is to know God. Once you accept Christ, you are under a strong covering, where you are does not matter as our father in the faith, Bishop Oyedepo has always said. He said where you are does not matter but the light of God that’ll protect you. I’ve not seen any problem in this nation.
