Popular Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez (Emeka Akumefule) has finally opened up about the genesis of the bitter war between him and his fellow rapper, Odumodublvck (Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu).

Speaking in a recent interview, Blaqbonez claimed that he discovered Odumodublvck was dating a woman with whom he had previously been intimate, saying the revelation led to their fallout.

Blaqbonez said he initially had no idea the woman was dating Odumodublvck, as he had never asked her about who she was seeing or dating.

He said: “After she sent me a message saying she can no longer continue our friendship, I felt the message was ‘performative’ and believed she was trying to make it appear as though I was the one holding on to the relationship.

“I eventually asked her, ‘Who are you dating?’ It was then I discovered she was dating Odumodu.

“I chose to respect their relationship and walk away, telling her, ‘You guys won’t hear from me again. I will respect everything that you guys have. Peace.’

“The situation escalated when Odumodu contacted me shortly after our call and questioned whether I had been intimate with the woman.

“I refused to provide details because I did not want to interfere in their relationship. I told Odumodu, ‘I don’t know what she told you, so I can’t answer this question and affect anything that you guys have.’

“Odumodu then responded, ‘Then we are enemies since you are not telling me. Peace out, bro.’

“Regarding my relationship with the girl, I can’t say we were dating or anything. It wasn’t official, but the best term to describe it would be friends with benefits because we were friends and were intimate.

“I asked Odumodu when his relationship with the woman began, believing that if she had ended things with me before dating him, there should be no issue. However, Odumodu refused to disclose when they started dating, further escalating the tension between us.”
