Popular Nigerian singer, Davido’s father, Deji Adeleke, has made a shocking revelation about Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State.

Speaking about the election, Deji said he became concerned after hearing about the amount of money allegedly being spent by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to influence voters.

He said: “On the day of the election, when I heard about the kind of money they were spending, I went back to my little corner in my room, knelt down, and prayed to God Almighty.”

“I said, ‘God Almighty, let people collect their money but still vote for Ademola Adeleke.”

“They spent N60 billion, as we heard. In some places, they bought votes for as high as N50,000 for a single vote.”

Deji Adeleke is the elder brother of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Governor Adeleke won the governorship election with 511,067 votes, defeating the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.
