Afrinvest Berths In Enugu In Grand Style, Wows The Coal City With Mega Road Show

By Our Special Correspondent

Afrinvest, the leading financial services outfit, exploded on the consciousness of Enugu dwellers from December, 2025, when they launched their Enugu office, a snazzy, ultramodern, one-storey affair, located at 11, Club Road, GRA, Enugu, right next door to the main gate of the Coal City Garden Estate, behind CBN, Enugu.

Founded more than thirty years ago, Afrinvest has its head office sited in Ikoyi, Lagos, and also has an active presence in the southeast, having successfully operated an office in Onitsha, Anambra State for several years.

Following it’s office launch, Afrinvest held a mega road show on Thursday, December 18th, 2025, and traversed the major thoroughfares of the Coal City metropolis. Enugu dwellers were widely engaged by their friendly and well trained staff, who informed of the services offered by the company.

Afrinvest has one major factor going for it, at least as far as Enugu is concerned. It is the main sponsor of Rangers International FC, the darling football club of the Coal City.

Given Afrinvest’s track record so far, it is reasonably safe to say that the company will do big things in Enugu, and beyond.

On Wednesday, December 17th, Afrinvest’s Enugu Head, Eleojo Manuel and the Onitsha Business Development Manager, Paul Onyenweihe, spoke with media practitioners, including Top Celebrities, in Enugu.

A: ” Briefly, Afrinvest is a leading financial services holding company, with a focus in West Africa. We are active in five principal areas, Investment Banking, Securities Trading, Asset Management, Private and Corporate Trust and Investment Research, which is core for any business. For efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction, we offer our services through dedicated subsidiaries, including Afrinvest Securities Ltd., which is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission as a broker/dealer. We are also authorised by the Nigerian Exchange Group, NGX, formerly the Nigerian Stock Exchange, as a dealing member.”
” We differ from others because we are big on investment research, and customer education is key here. Someone could have funds in the bank and just leave it there. The banks just utilise the funds to invest in the capital market. People tend to understand the money market more because virtually every one has a bank account, but they don’t understand the capital market, which is where we are at. So customer education is critical in this context. We teach our clients how to use their resources to create wealth for themselves. For instance, we are in December now. Those that invested at the beginning of the year have actually gotten a yield of about 46 per cent. If you invested N100,000, it is worth N146,000, which is quite high. “
” And, we’ve been here for more than thirty years. Your investment is absolutely safe with us.”

Q : ” Folks believe that investment is only for the wealthy. How true is this?”

A: ” From experience, that is not factual because at Afrinvest we cater to students, traders, civil servants, corporate bodies, billionaires, even governments. We’re working with the Enugu State Government. We don’t discriminate! Our slogan is, Simplifying investment… Creating wealth. So we try to keep things as simple as possible for our clients. One can invest with as little as N5,000 ! Yes! That’s for the FGN Savings Bond. The minimum investment is N5,000 while the maximum iseN50 million. So you see it’s not all about the wealthy. It’s more about the knowledgeable.’

Q: ” What services do you offer your investors?”

A: ” We have what we call AfriTrack, which is designed to unlock the value of outstanding and unclaimed entitlements in Nigerian quoted securities, that is, equities and bonds, on behalf of our clients. We leverage on our cordial relationship with company registrars to achieve this. We have the FGN Savings Bond that we spoke about earlier, which is a very safe investment, as it is backed by the Federal Government, and quarterly interest is paid while the principal is repaid at maturity. We have Treasury Bills, which are short-term debt instruments issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria and backed by the Federal Government. Treasury Bills are highly liquid and can be used as collateral. We also have Commercial Papers, CPs, which are from N1 million to N5 million depending on the offer. And we have mutual funds. We have six mutual funds, and those ones you buy them in units. We have Afrinvest equity funds, Plus Fund, Afrinvest Dollar Fund, in case you want to invest in dollars, which is from a minimum of $1,000. We have Afrinvest Allowee Fund, which is a non-interest investment, and there is Nigerian International Debt Fund, which is the oldest mutual fund in the market.”

A: ” Well, they can come to the office in person, or they can go online. We have an app called Afrinvest 2.0, which can be downloaded from Apple Store and Google Play. You get instant and secure access to buy and sell stocks of companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Market through Afrinvestor.
