The faction of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) led by Tajudeen Baruwa has sacked MC Oluomo from the union’s national secretariat.

Members of the faction stormed the NURTW headquarters in Abuja to take control of the secretariat.
The union has been embroiled in a leadership tussle since 2024, involving factions led by MC Oluomo (Ayinde Akinsanya) and Tajudeen Baruwa.
In November 2024, NURTW members elected MC Oluomo as National President. However, the dispute was later taken to court, which ruled in favour of Baruwa.
Despite the court ruling, MC Oluomo has continued to operate as President.
