After joining forces and closing their ranks to defeat the APC in the just concluded governorship election in Ekiti State, PDP’s two heavy chieftains in the state, Governor Ayo Fayose and Senator Arise are now fighting over the spoils of war. The senator has accused the governor of manipulating the PDP ward congresses in Ekiti north Senatorial District to favour his preferred candidate, Duro Faseyi. He told journalists that Gov. Fayose did not allow the congress to hold in Ekiti Senatorial District. “Gov. Fayose had already compiled the list of delegates in favour of my challenger, Hon. Duro Faseyi. So, as I am talking to you, the chairman of all the wards and local governments have been summoned to Ado Ekiti by the governor to sign the forged list”.

The senator who worked hard day and night to ensure that Gov. Fayose defeats Ex-Governor Fayemi in Ekiti North Senatorial District added that the PDP congress panel led by Sen. Ahmed Makarfi did not distribute electoral materials in any of the five councils in Ekiti North Senatorial District.
