The cold war between ex-Gov. Donald Duke of Cross River State and his successor, Gov. Liyel Imoke has snowballed into a bitter political war. Recently in Calabar, the state capital during a reception for a guber aspirant, Goddy Jedy-Agba, the ex-governor took his successor to the cleaners.

Ex-Gov. Duke blasted Gov. Imoke for causing problem in PDP in the state. He told the crowd who are mainly the guber aspirant supporters that Gov. Imoke has divided the PDP, yet he is giving out the false impression that the party is united in the state.

That’s not all, he also accused the governor of favouritism. According to him, Gov. Imoke has been giving his blessings to other guber spirants in the state but he refused to give his blessings to Goddy Jedy-Agba. At the reception held at Holy Child Secondary School, the ex-governor openly declared his support for the governorship ambition of the aspirant.
