The bitter war between Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State and ex-Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State has taken a fresh dimension.
Those in the know, squealed to us that when Aregbesola came on stage to lambast Amosun and his supporters at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally held in Abeokuta, Ogun State and calling them hypocrites, there was more to it that meets the eyes.
They added that Aregbesola has been very angry with Amosun over the role he played during the Osun State governorship election.
Insiders revealed that it was Governor Amosun who encouraged the then secretary to Osun state government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti to snub Aregbesola and move to African Democratic Party (ADP) to contest the governorship election against Aregbesola’s anointed candidate, Gboyega Oyetola.
Our sources said that Amosun’s plot almost cost the APC Osun State governorship and since then Aregbesola has been looking for a golden opportunity to teach Amosun a bitter political lesson of his life.
