It is no longer news that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo visited the famous Afrika Shrine during its annual Felabration event. But what many don’t know is what the afrobeat music legend, Late Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s son, Femi Kuti told the vice president of Nigeria.

It is interesting to know that Femi Kuti disappointed the number two citizen of Nigeria when he turned down his support for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election.

Femi Kuti said; “When I went to his (Osinbajo’s) house, he asked me to support him and he is here now and I am saying no. I won’t support him because of my father. But he is my friend, he said he understands and respects my view.”

“He said he has been hearing about the shrine and wants to come and I’m very happy he came. When he got here he didn’t know the place was like this and he has seen that we are not mad people.”

“The Vice President didn’t bribe the Kuti family to support their second term agenda, the New Afrika Shrine is open to anyone.”
