Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has denied reports claiming he is contesting for the chairmanship of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA).

Taking to his X account (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, September 11th, 2025 Fani-Kayode said:

“I know nothing about the NFA, I have no interest in the NFA or who leads it. I have not been approached or nominated for such a position by anyone, and if I had, I would have respectfully declined.”

“Any stories suggesting I am in the race or had withdrawn in support of another candidate are false and should be disregarded.”

“The public should verify any quotes attributed to me only through my official website, or mny verified social media accounts on X, Facebook, and Instagram.”
