UPN Guber Candidate, Prince Rotimi Paseda Receives New Chieftaincy Title

Rotimi PasedaNot only that another feather was merely added to his cap, Prince Rotimi Paseda, the Ogun State Governorship candidate of United Party of Nigeria (UPN) was indeed highly honoured with being turbaned as  Garkuwa Hausawa in a colourful ceremony at Sagamu last weekend.
The ceremony which was well attended by various supporters group of the diminutive Ijebu born politician also attracted a large number of Hausa Community members in the town.
While conferring the chieftaincy title on Paseda, the chairman Council of Hausa Chiefs in Ogun State Alhaji Umar Nalado said the Council selected the title for the governorship candidate for his commitment to uplifting the poor in the society.
He said the title Garkuwa meaning protector, provider, pillar and shield is generally reserved for people who are committed to the advancement of humanity.
He told the gathering that Paseda deserved the honour because he has been supportive to the Hausa community and his unique character and achievement in the area of philanthropy.
He appealed to all Hausas in the state especially youths and women to vote for Paseda as governor for him to help them the more.
Also in attendance at the occasion are the three other UPN governorship candidates of Sokoto, Honourable Umar Farouk, that of Zamfara state, Abdul-Rahman Umar as well as that of Kano state, Yahya Molid Kyabo.
