Information reaching us has it that Television Continental (TVC) in Lagos has sacked about 145 staffers. There are indications also that the TV station may be rested for inability to break even, financially.

This, it was learnt, was the outcome of Friday’s town hall meeting with the Chief Executive Officer. According to the CEO, the sack became imperative because the stations are not commercially viable. He said: “TVC Nigeria and Radio are not making enough money to cater for TVC Africa.”
