Titi Oseni, is one of the few lucky ones who got into the spotlight not too long after she became a partisan politician. The American trained business administrator came into political recognition and relevance when she became the first speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, and the feat was celebrated and accepted by many, because it was seen as leap into gender equality in the society.
Titi, however began to be seen in different light as well as assuming controversial status when her influence in the corridor of power under governor Gbenga Daniel was becoming a source of worry to many.
Her rubber stamp disposition towards positions of the executive arm of government on different issues also put her on the spot. Another controversy aside of political related soon trailed her when she was alleged to be having amorous affair with the governor and this was reported to be taking toll on her matrimony as her husband was said to be upset. The woman has however not failed to say her marriage is intact.
Upon the ouster of the PDP led government which swept off majority of its elective office holders, among which is Oseni, the woman and her one time boss and ally, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, went separate ways to chart new course, not without tales of discordant tunes between them.
Her disappearance from political scene has no doubt steamed talks about her, her matrimony inclusive. However, the 50th birthday gig the former speaker recently staged may have once again brought about talks about her. The event which was recently held in Lagos was not short of expectation from someone of her caliber with top politicians and well meaning individuals in attendance.
What was however significant at the gig was the absence of her hubby, Kunle Oseni. What has always been on the lips of many since the gig was held is that there might be truth in the tale that her hubby has pitched his tent against her since the allegation of her romance with Otunba Daniel came to the fore. The former governor, whom Honourable Oseni has refuted tales of rift between them was also conspicuously missing at the shielding.
