Former governor of Enugu State, Barrister Sullivan Chime seems to be on his way to Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC) cell. Those in the know at the anti-corruption agency told us that the ex-governor’s 8years tenure has been under investigations for months now.
They added that the agency has enough dossiers to invite him for questioning any moment from now.
We were told the ex-governor’s chief of staff, Mrs. Ifeoma Nwobodo was at the Idiagbo House Headquarters of the commission on Thursday July 30th 2015 and she was interrogated from 9.30am till evening and she is now in detention.
Insiders at EFCC squealed to us that she was grilled on alleged money laundering related offenses and misappropriation of Enugu State money. We gathered when EFCC operatives confronted her with sensitive documents of the alleged fraud. She broke down and started singing like kenery bird.
That’s not all, we gathered that Mrs. Ifeoma Nwobodo is cooperating with the EFCC operatives so that she can exonerate herself from prosecution in court so that her boss, Ex-Governor Sullivan Chime should come and carry his cross.
