Former Minister of Aviation, Senator Stella Oduah, has once again been arraigned by the Federal Government.

She was brought before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory over alleged N5 billion corruption charges.

The Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), arraigned her on five counts of advance fee fraud and conspiracy.

Oduah was accused of fraudulently obtaining N2.4 billion from the Ministry of Aviation through Broad Waters Resources in 2014, claiming it was for “technical supervision.” She also allegedly received N1.6 billion and N839 million through similar false pretences, in violation of the Advance Fee Fraud Act.

Arraigned alongside another defendant, Oduah pleaded not guilty.

Justice Hamza Muazu granted her bail on self-recognisance, ordering her to submit her passport and seek court approval before any travel.

She was represented by senior lawyer, Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN).
