Former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung has accused his successor, Sunday Dare of diverting N1 billion fund approved by President Muhammad Buhari’s administration.

According to Dalung, the N1 billion had been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari and released since August 2019 for the basketballers’ bonuses.

Dalung had demanded for the whereabouts of the money and asked the minister to give an explanation.

However, Sunday Dare, commenting on the money revealed that he was not the minister when the bonuses meant for the Women’s basketball team were owed.

He said; “These are allowances that are owed since 2017 when I was not even the minister.”

It is interesting to know that members of the D’Tigress basketball team are being owed and the team had expressed their anger. They said they are being owed allowances and bonuses.
