Edo State deputy governor, Philip Shaibu has boasted that nobody can stop his intention to run for the gubernatorial election in the state in 2024.

The deputy governor made the declaration on Monday, November 27th, 2023 as he announced his guber ambition on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He said: “I am a homeboy, I understand the people’s plight and I want the electorate and party members to support my desire.”

“After 30years in politics and seven years of working with Governor Godwin Obaseki to rebuild the state, I am in the best position to succeed my principal.”

“Nobody can stop my ambition.”

“If elected governor of the state in 2024, I promise to provide practical governance.”
