Popular actress, Regina Daniels has been in the news for marrying billionaire lawyer cum politician and Senator-elect, Ned Nwoko. The dazzling beauty who hosted over 20,000 children recently in Agbor, Delta State has finally opened up about her life to Ejiro Roman Adigbo. Excerpt:

Why have you chosen to organize this grand Children’s Carnival?

I have always loved children and secondly, I would say I never had the opportunity as a child to experience this fun. It has always been all about making money even when I was a child till now. So, having this children’s day carnival takes me back to those early opportunities I never had.

How do you feel today seeing about 20,000 children grace the occasion?

I feel so happy and loved.

How long have you been in showbiz and how has the journey been?

For about 10 years and it has been stressful.

How do you feel being a celebrity at a relatively young age?

Well, I feel privileged, I feel so opportune because there are so many people out there, much more better than me.

Being a celebrity, how does it affect your relationship with your peers?

I always mingle with people. I feel free like every normal person would. I am just this kind of free person.

What is your message to children?

My message to them is that they should always remain focused. They should not be distracted, neither should there they be eager to succeed through the wrong approach. Everything in life is slow and steady.

The Regina Daniels Children Carnival is a very lovely brand. Have you done it in the past?

I have had this carnival for over four years now. I hope to always hold it every year.

Why did you choose Agbor as venue for this year’s event?

I have been going to different places like Asaba, Onitsha and so, coming to Agbor has nothing attached to it. I believe in extending my love to many places.

How were you able to do this year’s event which is so large?

Well, I said let me do something more for the kids by bringing many artistes to make them feel good, feel happy since I have the opportunity to do so.

Why do you love children?

I said I love children because I have been an ‘adult’ all my life even when I was a baby. So, moving with kids makes me feel like a child.

We understand you have a Foundation. Is it correct?

Yes, I have a Foundation and it is called Regina Daniels Development Foundation. It is all about helping the less privileged, sending many of them to school, providing some with jobs and just doing a lot of other things for kids.
