PBAN Pushes For Innovative Reforms In Bread-making Industry

Against the increasing economic challenges confronting Bread making in the country, the Premium Bread-Makers Association of Nigeria (PBAN) has empanelled a strategic body of industry experts to help engineer adaptive innovations in a dynamic bread making industry.

The experts will be gathering at the 2nd Edition of the Association’s Day-Out in Lagos on the 21st November, 2024 to ex-ray the theme – “Innovations in a dynamic bread making industry: Using local and affordable alternative ingredients”

According to PBAN’s President, Engineer Emmanuel Onuorah who spoke ahead of the Day-Out, the stakeholders in the bread-making industry were desirous of seeking viable alternative options to remain cost effective in the business.

“We examined the dynamics of bread making business today, and we strongly believe that adaptive innovations are required to stay ahead of the unstable economic environment”, Engineer Onuorah said.

He added that the operators and players in the industry needed cut-edge solutions in all areas of operations to remain competitive, noting that the assemblage of experts in this regard has become essential.

And with a view to giving the Theme a robust discourse, the Association has lined up foremost industry regulator and leading value-chain providers, including the Director-General, Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO), Dr. Jummai A. Tutuwa as Guest Speaker. Other members of the engaging session are: Mr. Bolaji Anifowose, Vice President Commercial, Crown Flour Mills Ltd; Mr Ayodeji Oyinlola, Managing Director, Macadams Baking System Nig. Ltd, and Mr Clestus Chibuko, Managing Director, Edcel Nig. Ltd.

The 2024 PBAN’s Day-Out would also feature social engagements designed to ensure members unwind from the hectic bread-making business.
