Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has denied joining another party.

He disclosed this on Wednesday, June 17th, 2020 via his official Twitter page.

He wrote; “I have not moved to a new platform yet to seek re-election.”

“My focus now is to control the spread of the coronavirus (#COVID19) pandemic, which is ravaging our country and threatening our healthcare system. Stay safe.”

It is interesting to know that Obaseki on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020 announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said; “I have officially resigned my membership of the All Progressives Congress after meeting with the Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Muhammadu Buhari.”

“We shall continue the battle to protect the interest of Edo people and sustain good governance in the state.”
