Former Minister, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro is in fresh trouble. The detained politician who has agreed to refund about N800 million issued a N40 million dud cheque to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently.

Insiders at the EFCC disclosed to us that they were shocked when the politician’s cheque somersaulted at the bank. We were told that the politician started begging, explaining that it was his friends and fellow politicians who promised to deposit money in the account that disappointed him.

We were told that the politician has only refunded N24 million out of the N100 million he promised to pay back before he can be granted bail. This explained why he’s still being held by the EFCC since he came back from America.
