NDLEA Boss In Big Trouble

Alhaji Ahmadu GiadeFormer Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Alhaji Ahmadu Giade has been accused by his staff of protecting drug barons in Nigeria while in office.

A Chief Superintendent of Narcotics with the NDLEA, Mr. Paul Audu in a petition to President Buhari revealed that he had arrested a popular drug baron and was about to arrest four others when he was suddenly posted out of Lagos by Alhaji Ahmadu Giade.

Paul Audu claimed he arrested a wanted international drug baron called Akindele Ikumukoyi in Lagos after about two years surveillance. He added that he located the drug baron 13 landed properties in Lagos and discussed with Alhaji Ahmadu Giade and his plans to arrest others. Instead of commending him for a job well done, he said Alhaji Ahmadu Giade transferred him to Adamawa/Taraba States Command of the NDLEA.

Paul Audu also added that he has spent 9 years in Adamawa State and has not been promoted for the past 10 years and he is now working under his junior officers that Alhaji Ahmadu Giade elevated above him.
