Popular Nigerian musician, Naira Marley, has shared the moment he was attacked on stage during a live performance in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

The concert took a dramatic turn when an unidentified fan suddenly invaded the stage and attempted to attack the singer mid-performance.

The situation was quickly brought under control, thanks to the swift intervention of security personnel and Naira Marley’s close associate, Sam Larry, who helped fend off the attacker.

Taking to his X account (formerly Twitter), Naira Marley reposted a viral video capturing the incident, while recounting the shocking moment to his fans.

He wrote: “The moment I got attacked on stage, see baba oniru re”
