Due to her background and limited access to liberating tools, many never envisaged that the daughter of automobile mechanic, Hadijat Kuburat Oladapo Adeleye, would ever become a rallying point. All the while, the lady had stuck to her passion, partisan politics, and when it was time to pay off, based on her steadfastness, commitment and her quest to see the life of her people is bettered, she was given all the support when she signified interest to go into the Ogun State House of Assembly and her dream eventually came to pass.

Getting into the law-making chamber to represent Ifo Constituency, dark-skinned Hadijat, who was one of the few female lawmakers in the assembly, became one of the most popular in the house. Her vocal nature would eventually give her genuine recognition in the state and beyond during the infamous G15 and G11 that rocked the assembly during the tenure of Otunba Daniel.

In 2011 when many of her colleagues would lose in their bid to move ahead politically, Hadija was able to defect to ACN under which she returned to the assembly.  In the build up towards 2015 election, she made her calculations and left the party to return to PDP where she had put in to represent her federal constituency in the House of Representatives but unfortunately, the Tsunami that rocked the opposition in favour of APC in the state did not spare her.

Hadija is said to have become so bitter since the elections were conducted. We learnt that she has not cease to rain curses on her supposed supporters who allegedly collected her money, but turned their backs at the polls. Although unconfirmed, a different source said she collapsed when the results indicated she lost out but what was confirmed is that she’s been out of public glare. Those who are conversant with happenstances in Ogun State will readily attest to the fact that she was at different times romantically linked with a handful of her male colleagues in the assembly and just recently she was also link with the King of fuji music, King Wasiu Ayinde.
