Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) like bad habit.

The Governor has now joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Ayade announced his defection to APC on Thursday morning, May 20th, 2021.

He made the shocking announcement in a meeting with six APC governors who visited him at the Government House.

We gathered that the APC governors arrived in Calabar State on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 to persuade him to join the APC.

Sources told us that some of the governors are Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Governor Hope Uzodima of Imo State; Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State among others.
