Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has been accused of squandering the sum of N80billion.
Chief Luke Ezeanokwasa of the Labour Party is now challenging the governor to give account of the N80billion belonging to the local government areas in the state.
Chief Luke added that the governor has received N80bilion from the federation account for the past 16months and he has nothing to show for it. That’s not all, he said the governor has equally abandoned all the projects initiated by his political godfather, Ex-Gov. Peter Obi. He revealed the governor has ordered all local government chairmen in the state to apply for approval to the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs to do any project worth N400,000. He said the ex-Fidelity Bank director turned governor is very insensitive to the economic hardship Anambra people are going through as he is busy spending millions of naira on his 60th birthday.
