Gov. Udom Emmanuel Will Defeat APC Again – Olufemi Aduwo

OlufemiUdom Emmanuel Samson Aduwo, President of Rights Monitoring Group and the Executive Director of Centre for Convention on Democratic Integrity (CCDI) and RMG a partner of World Bank and CCDI in an exclusive interview with Top Celebrities Magazine, bares his mind on the forthcoming Akwa-Ibom State governorship election.

Let’s move to Akwa-Ibom State where the governorship election has been cancelled at the Appeal Court. If there is a re-run in Akwa-Ibom between the APC and PDP, what is your take on that?

In fairness, if there is re-election in Akwa-Ibom, the governor will win it back. Anybody may have his own reservation about Akpabio but go to Akwa-Ibom State, you will see a very advanced infrastructures. The state has one of the best road networks in the country. Our people there will tell you they are happy with the government.

Emmanuel Udom; apart from being a former bank director, people do not know he is a man of God to the core. Remember he doesn’t stay at the Government House, he stays at his own house and the people believe he is working. I think what the Appeal Court looked into was that the state has 30 Local Government Areas and you are saying that the incumbent governor won 13 local governments, that they should do a re-run in 18 local government areas. Even though the APC candidate won the eighteen local governments, it doesn’t still make sense.
