Mr. Dapo Kolawole, ex-Finance Commissioner of Ekiti State has described Governor Ayodele Fayose as grossly incompetent and lacking capacity. He revealed that the governor can afford to pay Ekiti workers 3months salary. According to him, workers are being owed 5months salary because the governor lacks good will and has failed woefully to get support from developments agencies.

He disclosed that the governor has tampered with local government funds which come directly from the federation account and that is why he can’t afford to pay local government workers and he challenged the governor to explain to Ekiti people what he did with Federal Government’s refund on federal roads. “But what do we have in Ekiti. We have someone who never promised anything, so could not deliver anything.”

The former commissioner confessed that under the administration of Dr. Kayode Fayemi loans were taken. “We took a bond of N25billion, and the repayment plan was well structured. 50 percent of the loan was regenerative and 50 per cent social infrastructure like road, bridges and water projects. And the repayment was tied to some specific receipts from the federation account.”
