Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has sacked all commissioners and other affected political appointees of their duties.

This comes following a recent Supreme Court ruling that nullified their appointments and affirmed that their tenure had effectively ended.

In an official statement, Governor Fubara said:

“I sincerely thank all former members of the Executive Council for their sacrifices and commitment to the progress of Rivers State.”
