Former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is reportedly saddened after Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, whom he supported into office, left the Kwankwasiyya movement to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Kwankwaso said: “I do not understand why the government formed under Kwankwasiyya suddenly moved to Gandujiyya.”

“This government was formed with a lot of sacrifice, but without any clear reason that we know, it was taken away from our Kwankwasiyya structure and moved elsewhere.” 

“It is painful and disappointing but only God knows the real reason behind it. I was praying that the outcome will still turn out well for my supporters.”
