Ex-Governor Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano State has denied killing popular Islamic scholar, Sheikh Jafar Mahmoud Adams who was assassinated in April 2007.
The politician denied his involvement in the murder of Islamic scholar when about 200 Muslim clerics on Sunday 7th May, 2017 converged at his Kano residence to hold a marathon prayer session to seek divine intervention over Shekarau’s alleged involvement in the assassination.
The prayer session, which commenced at about 12pm was led by Ustaz Mohammed Sadiq and it lasted for about three hours even as the cleric alleged that the former governor was being framed up. “No one is indispensable, as even Prophet Mohammed (SAW) encountered conspiracy and betrayal by his followers, so Sardauna’s case should not be viewed as an exception.”
