Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has ordered the arrest of Leadership newspapers’ correspondent in Kaduna State, Mr. Midat Joseph. He was arrested by security operatives at his house on Thursday 20th April, 2017.
We gathered that the journalist who is now in detention was said to have published a report considered critical of the state government. So far, the governor has arrested six journalists since his assumption of office on May 2015.
