Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Frank Okiye has been impeached by some lawmakers loyal to Adams Oshiomhole.

Report reaching us has it that Hon. Victor Edoror has emerged as the new Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly.

However, sources added that 17 APC members of the House held a parallel session and elected Hon. Emmanuel Agbaje, representing Akoko Edo 2 as speaker protempore.

The session also inaugurated 12 members not earlier inaugurated.
