Don Ebubeogu Emerges President Of ONICCIMA

Don Ebubeogu, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tiger Foods Limited has emerged the new president of Onitsha Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture (ONICCIMA).

June 29th, 2017 was Don Ebubeogu’s date with history. On that day, the Onitsha business community under the auspices of Onitsha Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture (ONICCIMA)  found a competent hand in him and decided it was high time the seasoned industrialist brought his rich and shrewd managerial and leadership experience to bear on the Chamber as its new helmsman. Thus in an almost unanimous vote, he was elected ONICCIMA’s 12th president.

The inauguration of Ebubeogu is the formal crystallization of 29th June and bold testament to his faithfulness to the cause of ONICCIMA. He is a seasoned industrialist who is rooted in the Onitsha industrial and business community where he superintends a flourishing Food conglomerate, Tiger Foods Nigeria Limited.

Ebubeogu will be replicating in ONICCIMA his success story in Tiger Foods. His resourcefulness has led to the company becoming leader in the food industry sub-sector within the South east axis with thriving branches in a number of African countries namely Liberia, Ghana and Cameroun.

Essentially, Ebubeogu is not coming to learn on the job. He has been involved in ONICCIMA in the last 17 years. Within this period he garnered rich experience in the top echelon of the chamber as an executive member, and also had the opportunity to understudy the dynamics of leadership of the last four Presidents of ONICCIMA.

Tiger Foods Limited where the new ONICCIMA boss sits atop as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer is a product of sound professional education. Born on June 3, 1972, in Onitsha, Anambra state, Don Ebubeogu is a Food Technologist per excellence, a profession he acquired from the Institute of Food Technologists, Chicago, United States of American. He is also a member of American Institute of Baking Manhattan, American Spice Trade Association, Washington and Nigerian Herbs and Spice Association.

Ebubeogu is married to Chineye, a dutiful and supportive woman who is a compass to her husband as he pilots the affairs of Tiger Foods as well as weather turbulent storms of business. Ebubeogu’s zeal for the things of God, calm disposition and humble nature stem from his contact with Catholic education.

An indigene of Akokwa in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, Ebubeogu had his early education at Ugborimili Primary School, Fegge Onitsha. He later proceeded to St. Paul’s Junior Seminary, Ukporand All Hallow’s Senior Seminary, Onitsha for his Secondary education.

Apart from Tiger Foods, ONICCIMA’s new helmsman is also an investor in Rose Cross Oil Ltd and Green Sahara Farms Ltd. A loving, compassionate father and devout Christian, together with Chinenye, Ebubeogu has three adorable children.
