Commissioner Escapes Death

The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Special Projects, Mr Fred Obua has escaped death. The Commissioner reportedly slumped on Tuesday January 30th, 2018 at a briefing to mark six years anniversary of the State boss, Governor Seriake Dickson in office.

Sources squealed that Obua, who was to make presentation at the inter-ministerial briefing unexpectedly, slumped and was rushed out of the Cultural Centre, Yenagoa, to the hospital.

We gathered that the MC of the event, Mrs Tari Oweifawari who had earlier announced that the commissioner would be making a presentation in a short while, only returned to inform the audience that… “The Commissioner is having health challenges that won’t enable him speak at the briefing.”

However, Mr Daniel Iworiso-Markson, the State Commissioner for Information and Orientation has reacted to the unfortunate incident… “What do you want me to say, the man was rushed out because he has health challenge; he cannot wait for the presentation.”
