The Federal Government has on Thursday February 8th, 2018 arraigned a civil servant over ownership of 86 exotic cars and houses.

Mr. Ibrahim Tumsah who is the Director of Finance and Account in the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing has been apprehended for his alleged failure to declare his ownership of 86 luxury cars.

He was charged before the Federal High Court in Abuja alongside his brother, Mr. Tijani Tumsah who was a member of the Presidential Committee on North East Initiative also a former Interim National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The two brothers however pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge prepared by the Chief Okoi Obono-Obla-led Special Presidential Investigation Panel on the Recovery of Public Property.
We gathered that out of the 86 vehicles that were seized from Ibrahim, 23 of them were amoured and brand new. Also, four houses and a quarry plant in Abuja were equally seized from him.
Be that as it may, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba granted the two brothers bail to the tune of N20million with two sureties of either a business man or a public civil servant above the rank of grade level 15 with landed properties anywhere in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Ibrahim and his brother, Tijani have also been ordered to surrender their international passports by the court, stressing that they must not travel out of the country without permission. Justice Dimgba directed that they should be remanded in Kuje prison in the event that they failed to perfect their bail conditions within three days.
Meanwhile, the case was adjourned till March 1 for trial.
