In recognition of the success and growth of the wines and spirits industry and the tremendous importance of wines at social functions and private meetings, Exhibition Guru, organisers of Nigeria’s Largest Wedding Exhibition, WED Expo, is set to introduce the Wine & Spirits Expo 2014.

The event, scheduled to take place from 10 to 12 October at the TBS, Lagos, will afford manufacturers, distributors and retailers of wines and spirits, the opportunity to exhibit a wide range of high quality wine and spirits, beer and other alcoholic beverages, as well as provide wine education, logistics and services to buyers from all over the country.

“This Expo is imperative given that Nigeria is the second fastest growing market in the world for champagne and currently ranked as the country with the highest consumption of champagne in Africa. This places Nigeria among the top 20 champagne markets in the world. With a wine market currently valued at US$300m a year, this volume sales in Nigeria are expected to grow by 6 percent yearly,” said Akin Eso, CEO, Exhibition Guru.

The Expo is targeted at sophisticated individuals and the elderly age group. It’s projected to attract over 100 local and international exhibitors and over 20,000 visitors.
