Nkiru Sylvanus Returns With ‘The Voice’

Nkiru SylvanusNollywood star actress Nkiru Sylvanus is returning to her first love acting after a long hiatus.

The actress is launching her return with a sterling act in the movie, The Voice, a thriller/adventure film, written and directed by Afe Olumowe, and produced by Nkiru Sylvanus who also played the lead.

Other casts in the flick that was premiered on Sunday 13 July at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki, include Kenneth Okolie, Betty Njoku-Olumowe, Larry Briggs, Edwards Fom, and Daniel Lloyed.

The highly anticipated movie is a psychological thriller that has a mystery surrounding its shooting.

In 2012 during the shooting of the movie in Owerri, Imo State, kidnappers stormed the location and abducted Nkiru and Kenneth Okolie who played the lead with her.

Coincidentally, in the movie “The Voice” which they were shooting at the time, Kenneth kidnapped Nkiru and held her hostage. Then in real life both of them were kidnapped for days. Up till today no one has been able to understand that mysterious incident.

Nkiru only started shooting the remaining parts of the movie after they were released by the kidnappers.

“We continued with the movie as Kenneth and I learnt something from our captors which was helpful to us in our role interpretation,” Nkiru explained.

She, however, said the film will blow many people’s mind when it finally hits cinemas across the country.
