Abia State University To Host Glo Campus Storm

glo-LogoNigeria’s premium musical show for tertiary institutions, Glo Campus Storm  has arrived the Uturu campus of Abia State University in preparation for the forth-coming Glo Campus Storm music concert which will take place this Friday, November 18, 2016 at the school.

The crew departed the University of Nigeria, Nsukka last Friday where the concert was held amidst pomp and pageantry.  At the Abia State University edition of the show, major highlights will include a dancing and singing competition, comedy, beauty pageantry and music from up and coming artistes and top rated Nigerian superstars.

Among the artistes expected to perform at the ABSU concert are Kenyan diva Victoria Kimani, new hip-hop act, Kach, Nigeria’s fast rising music sensation, Runtown and the ‘Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa’, Timaya. Popular comedian Gordon is expected to reel out rib-cracking jokes as he anchors the event while dexterous female disc jockey, DJ Lambo will produce hit vibes from the juke box.

Uturu is already bubbling with excitement as the Campus Storm road show activation team is ramping up excitement in the town with various activities geared towards making the concert a tremendous success.

A number of students of the institution in Uturu who aired their views on the Friday concert couldn’t hide their excitement. One of the students, Nkemakolam Okafor, a 300 level undergraduate who is anxiously looking forward  to attending the show said “I attended the concert at the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede and was awed with what I saw.  Now that it’s the turn of my school to host the show, I’m going to feel at home. I can’t wait to see the likes ofTimaya and Runtown here in Uturu”.

Globacom revealed that one of the key highlights of the show is the Glo Data Dude and Glo Data Diva competitions. “Ten winners in each campus will receive up to N100,000 each in the competition. The 240 winners who emerge from  24 schools will have the chance of winning N1 million in scholarships in addition to being signed on as Globacom Brand Ambassadors. They will also get special invitations to all Globacom organized events and shows such as the Glo-CAF Awards, Glo Laffta Fest and Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce concerts.”

Globacom urged students wishing to attend the concert to recharge their Glo lines with N500 campus data plan and be admitted into the venue for a memorable evening.
