Pretty Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade is a year older. The ‘Johnny’ singer is currently on tour in Europe and having been in France for over a week, she went to Switzerland on Friday, March 13 to continue her tour and celebrate her birthday.

Born on March 13, 1989 to a Yoruba father, (James Alade), a former Commissioner of Police and an Igbo mother (Helen Uzoma), Yemi Eberechi Alade came into limelight after winning the maiden edition of the Peak Talent Show in 2009.

Yemi holds a B.Sc in Geography from the University of Lagos and with the huge success of ‘Johnny’ having prompted her to great heights, she is currently signed to the Taiye Aliu-led Effyzzie Music Group.

She dropped her long-awaited debut album, ‘Kings of Queens’ in September 2014.
