The bitter political war between Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike and Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has taken another dimension.

From every indication it appears that Wike has finally parted ways politically with Fubara.
According to Wike: “Previous agreements reached with Fubara were violated. We will not make the mistake we made in 2023. No individual will dictate political decisions to me in Rivers State.”
“My open support for President Bola Tinubu does not translate into automatic backing for Fubara’s re-election bid under the APC.”
“So, if you like, shout on your mandate 50 times a day. It will not give you an automatic ticket. If you like, bring everybody, shout on your mandate that is not an automatic ticket.”
“Politics is about interest. I will support a candidate I can rely on and sleep with my eyes closed.”
