That the Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele was sacked by her colleagues recently and later reinstated her is stale news. Be that as it may, we can tell you for free why her fellow lawmakers are bitter with her.

Those in the know squealed to us that the lawmakers see her as a stooge of Gov. Olusegun Mimiko. Also, they are accusing her of being too arrogant.

We gathered that her colleagues are angry with her because she has not done enough about their welfare and she is only concerned about herself and the Deputy Speaker when it comes to patronage from the governor.

However, when 18 of the 26 lawmakers fired her recently, she came crumbling from a high horse. Insiders told us that the embattled Speaker ran to the governor, pleading on bended knees for His Excellency to save her from the wrath of her colleagues.

Those in the know disclosed that it was the governor who moved in with immediate effect to salvage the situation as he promised to look into the grievances of the lawmakers against the Speaker. For now, she has been reinstated but insiders are saying that the lawmakers will strike again if she doesn’t change her ways.
