The wife of Oyo State Governor, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi has solicited for more women participation in politics.

Florence Ajimobi spoke in Ibadan, during the launching of second phase of the monthly Ajumose Food Bank Programme that kicked off at the Ibadan North Local Government area of Oyo State.

Florence said more women are needed to complement the efforts of the men who have been dominating the political scene of the country since independence. She also called on women in local government area and the state to come out en-mass and register in the forthcoming (APC) registration exercise.

She said “I am using this medium to call on women in politics to participate in politics and also to register in the forthcoming APC registration exercise; this according to him will afford them more political opportunities”.

Meanwhile, the wife of the council boss, Mrs. Modupeola Lapade who received the first lady on behalf of other women in the council area said the council has trained and empowered many women in various vocations such as hair dressing, soap making, catering and fashion designing.
