Why Julius Ihonvbere Is Angry With Gov. Oshiomhole

Julius IhonvbereProfessor Julius Ihonvbere, the Secretary to the Edo State Government who resigned from his job a few days ago is an angry man presently. He is very angry with his boss, Gov. Adams Oshiomhole for betraying him at the just concluded APC primary for Edo North Senatorial District.

Those close to him told us that the SSG sought and got the permission of his boss Gov. Oshiomhole to contest for the Edo North Senatorial District primary under the platform of the APC. They added that what really pained the erudite professor was that the governor never told him that he had a preferred candidate in the person of Francis Alimehena. Our sources revealed if the governor had told him he wouldn’t have bothered contesting against his boss preferred choice at the APC primary.

Now to add salt to injury, our sources said Prof. Ihonvbere was already leading Francis Alimehena at the primary when the governor allegedly instructed the delegates to vote for Francis Alimehena, who eventually won the Edo North Senatorial District ticket with 831 votes. The ex-SSG scored 815 votes.

Insiders said Prof. Julius Ihonvbere was so bitter and angry that he came to the governor’s office the day after the primary and resigned his appointment as Edo State SSG.
