If there is one issue that is giving Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State sleepless nights presently, it is the bitter war between his Commissioner for Finance, Olorogun David Edevbie and Kingsley Emu, the Commissioner for Economic Planning.

Insiders at Governor’s office, Asaba disclosed to us that the Commissioner for Finance is angry with the Commissioner for Economic Planning because he has practically taken over his job as the Chief Financial Officer of the government which is not supposed to be.

Besides, Olorogun David Edevbie has been telling all those who cared to listen that he was a Commissioner for Finance under Chief James Ibori’s government and Principal Private Secretary to late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, so he knows his onions.

Sources added that Gov. Okowa is at a cross road because Kingsley Emu is his core loyalist and was D-G of his guber campaign organization. So, he can’t dump him for Edevbie who is Chief Ibori’s main man in his government and who contested the PDP guber primary with him. We gathered that Edevbie has been threatening to quit the government if the situation continues.
